We are a very busy cake boutique so we usually require one to two weeks lead time on an order. However, don’ t hesitate to call – even if your request is not within the time frame, as we could have last minute openings.
Because our cakes are custom, we require our customers to call and/or come into the shop to place an order depending on the complexity of your request. We will be happy to answer any questions over the phone or through email.
We also offer many other shapes and sizes that are not listed above. Please call or come in to receive a price quote.

Menu of Flavors
We specialize in cakes that are baked fresh NEVER FROZEN.
Cake flavors:
White, chocolate, marble, strawberry swirl, raspberry swirl, almond, carrot, spice, lemon, amaretto, German chocolate
Frosting flavors:
Vanilla butter cream, chocolate butter cream, cream cheese, German chocolate
All of our cakes are frosted in buttercream unless otherwise ordered.
An additional charge will apply to frosting flavors other than vanilla
**We also offer rolled fondant at an additional charge
Filling flavors:
Vanilla butter cream, chocolate butter cream, Strawberry, raspberry, lemon, apricot, chocolate Bavarian cream
There is an additional $8.00 charge per tier for filling other than buttercream

Our shop is inspected by the Missouri Health Department for your safety as well as ours.
Wedding cakes
Our wedding cake prices START at a base price of $5.75 per serving for buttercream iced cakes
$10.00 per serving for fondant iced cakes. Depending on the complexity of your chosen design, and the time invested in its creation will determine the final price at your booking.
Reservations are on a first come first serve basis. A fifty percent deposit of your order with a signed contract will ensure your date and delivery time. The balance will be due one week prior to your event date.
Delivery- We deliver our wedding cakes if the bride’s cake is 100 servings minimum. Delivery is 50.00 for the general Kansas City Mo area. Please call as delivery prices vary depending on other locations.

We always have our signature white cake on hand for a tasting. You may call ahead one week for a tasting of other flavors. We charge $8.00 for each 5” rd single layer flavor cake that will be paid when the order is placed. Designer Sugar Cookies
We make our cookies from scratch in a large variety of shapes for any occasion. Our cookies are a crisp buttery cookie hand decorated with a royal icing to achieve great detail. They are wonderful for party favors for any occasion. Our cookies are baked fresh to order so we need a weeks notice to fill your order. All orders must be placed the Saturday BEFORE you need them. We require a 2 dozen minimum. Yes we can handle large orders with the proper advance notice. Custom cutters for a special order can be done with a 4 week notice.
All cookies can be wrapped at an extra charge. Please call for a price quote on all cookies and packaging. We have a large display in our shop.
Nellie’s also offers many choices of tea cookies as well as other cookies such as chocolate chip, all with a two dozen minimum.
*Nellie’s also offers cookie trays which are great for gift giving during the holidays, a hostess gift, and client gift. Wonderful for a buffet or luncheon.

- A bite size petite four in white cake with an almond flavor glaze or a chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache
- Hand made truffles. Our popular flavors are chocolate, raspberry, peanut butter and vanilla.
- Cake pops, gourmet fudge and gourmet marshmallows all made in house
- Dipped strawberries in milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate
- “Bride and groom” berries – Berries for the holidays in other colors such as green and red for Christmas.
All of these items are great for party favors or place settings at a bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, wedding or any special event.
